Middlesmoor/Brimham Rocks - October 2010 - Part 2

We had a good night in the Crown Hotel, Pateley Bridge, where the food and atmosphere was really good, made even better by the "landlady". She looked after us well with our meal, joined in with our conversations, and even helped us with the banter between ourselves.

Next morning, after a good breakfast, and retrieving our still slightly damp clothing, we set off on our second walk of the weekend. The weather was much better today, warmer and sunnier, but with quite a bit of early morning mist around.

Following the River Nidd for the first part of the walk, we headed for Brimham Rocks.

Unfortunately, Simon's leg was playing him up, so he decided to leave us part way around and head back on his own.

Brimham Rocks were quite impressive, not at all what I expected. To be fair, they were like something out of a Flintstones movie!!

For your enjoyment, here are some "arty" shots taken by my colleagues

Arriving back in Pateley Bridge, we met up with Simon, again in the Crown, and after a quick refresher we set off home.
